Italy 1947

Fadini Borghi is to silk what Braquenié is to cottons.

Inspired by fabrics brought back from the Far East by the sea voyagers of the Renaissance, this design house today works with silk in all its variations: ciselé velvet, taffeta, damask, lampas, brocades illustrated with classical Italian motifs (16th-19th century), Art Deco motifs or highly contemporary designs combining metal with silk. Quality materials and meticulous work are the two main ingredients of the Fadini Borghi collections.

Italy 1947

This Italian jewel, dating back to 1947, transports us to a Florentine palace, opera dressing rooms or theatre apron. Fadini Borghi has continually absorbed innumerable resources from Italy’s fabulous heritage throughout its development as well as adopting lots of ethnic, African and Oriental designs. There fabrics are reproductions from the archives and whatever the style of the pattern, they are faithful to the originals designed in the past, from the Renaissance to the Art Deco of the 1930s. The sumptuous creations of the 18th century play a big part.

Sumptuousness and virtuosity accurately sum up this house bought out by Pierre Frey in 2004 .
